Gorillas, though aggressive and huge in size, are herbivores in nature. They eat primarily stems, leaves, bark, fruits and other parts of the plants. The male Gorillas can eat up to 34kg of food a day while the female can eat 18kg. The average weight of a Gorilla is about 204–227 kg (350–500 lb).
This film explores the daily life of a Mountain Gorilla, what it does, what it eats and how they interact with each other. There are only about 720 Gorillas left in the wild and these alive are threathened by deforestation and killings from human beings. Some of these Gorillas are killed accidentally when they got trapped in snares or traps meant for game meats.
