One of the most sophisticated sword that is ever produced, the Samurai Sword. This is the very sword that helped Japan fight off the Mongols way back in the 13th century. In the past, the Sword can only be used by Samurai. One would get killed if he or she does not have that status of a Samurai but is holding on to the Sword.
The Sword making process is a very tedious one, combining the elements of hard and soft steel. The process requires the steel to be folded a few thousand times and this is done with a special technique. Tedious as it may seem, the yield is a sword that is extremely sharp yet very strong and sturdy at the same time. Indeed, with the availability of guns, Swords would not be useful as it as in the past. But these Samurai Swords are also admired for their beauty and is still handcrafted till this very date.
