The Big Bang Machine

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is built by the European Organization for Nuclear Research and is the world's largest particle beam collider. It costs US$6 billion dollar to build and is 17km long, it lies below ground somewhere in Switzerland. One of the goal of this machine is to recreate the big bang, but in a smaller and more controllable scale.
